Erasmus EDGE’s Meet Me Halfway larp script now available!

We are delighted to announce our larp script for Meet Me Halfway is now available!

Image of two hands reach for each other through space with the words "Meet Me Halfway: A larp from the Erasmus+ EDGE Consortium by Sarah Lynne Bowman, Josephine Rydberg, and Angie Bandhoesingh"

Developed for Erasmus+ EDGE, the larp was primarily designed by Sarah Lynne Bowman (Uppsala University), Josephine Rydberg (volunteer), and Angie Bandhoesingh (Dragon’s Nest) with guidance and implementation from other members of the consortium. Taisto Suominen (TUAS) served as technical lead.

The premise of the larp is a matchmaking service that connects soulmates with each other who are separated by circumstance. These soulmates experience brief pivotal scenes from multiple periods of time as different soul incarnations. The larp embeds three technologies into the fiction that limit the degree to which the characters can interact: telephone, chat, and VR.

Run during A Week in Finland before Solmukohta 2024 in Tampere, Meet Me Halfway was created fpr the Larp and Tech workshop series. The larp’s goal is to test the benefits and drawbacks of including various technologies in analog play, as well as the practice of designing for technological integration from the beginning of the process.
