Discussion 12: RPG Communities Around the World

Choose one (1) item to examine from three (3) of the following cultures for a total of three (3) items: Russia and Belarus; Spain; Greece; North America; Switzerland and France; Singapore; the Arab World; and China.

Then, answer the following questions:

  1. Describe the practices surrounding play in the specific culture discussed in the item you examined. What distinguishing features did you notice?
    • How do you think these practices might shape the play culture and community surrounding play?
    • Did you find this play culture relatable? Why or why not? 
    • What did you find surprising or intriguing about this information? Be specific.
