Cultivating Transformational Communities

Sign up for Your Playtest and Feedback Group

Please sign up for a Playtest and Feedback group under People using the listed time zones. You may choose to play with your group from the previous class or a new group, but your group size should be a maximum of 4. Make sure you have joined a group so that the instructors know who is responsible for playtesting and peer reviewing.

In Cultivating Transformational Communities, you will have two types of playtests: practicing crisis management skills and playtesting each others autobiographical nanogames.

You will each engage in the following steps during this course:

1) Familiarize Yourself with the Crisis Management Workshop. In preparation for your first session, familiarize yourself with the “Crisis Management Workshop from Living Games 2016.” We recommend reading Page 7 carefully before the session for best practices.

2) Playtest 1 — Crisis Management Scenarios: Choose at least four (4) scenarios to play with your Playtest group. Make sure to thoroughly debrief the experience.

3) Playtest 2: Playtesting Your Autobiographical Nanogames: Playtest all four (4) nanogames written by group members and give feedback. You will only playtest these games once. Game play should not exceed 45 minutes and feedback should not exceed 15 minutes including workshop and debrief, for a total of one (1) hour maximum per game. Time yourselves.
