Discussion 12: RPG Communities Around the World

Choose one (1) item to examine from three (3) of the following cultures for a total of three (3) items: Russia and Belarus; Spain; Greece; North America; Switzerland and France; Singapore; the Arab World; and China.

Then, answer the following questions:

  1. Describe the practices surrounding play in the specific culture discussed in the item you examined. What distinguishing features did you notice?
  2. How do you think these practices might shape the play culture and community surrounding play?
  3. Did you find this play culture relatable? Why or why not? 
  4. What did you find surprising or intriguing about this information? Be specific.
