Discussion 4: Implementing Therapeutic Role-playing Games

  1. In 1-2 sentences each, describe three (3) examples from the therapists of different transformative impacts that either they have personally experienced or witnessed while implementing therapeutic tabletop role-playing games. 
  2. Describe one (1) challenge mentioned by the therapists. How do they attempt to address this challenge in their practice?
  3. Compare this roundtable to the Art of the Table roundtable you watched in Unit 1. What similarities did you notice in these facilitator’s approaches? What differences did you notice? Be specific.
  4. Even if you are not a therapist, are there any techniques mentioned in the roundtable that might help you implement transformative role-playing games more effectively? Be specific.
