Discussion 4: Implementing Therapeutic Role-playing Games

Choose one (1) video to watch from the Therapeutic Facilitation category under Recommended Materials.

Then, answer the following questions:

  1. In 1-2 sentences each, describe two (2) examples from the therapists of different transformative impacts that either they have personally experienced or witnessed while implementing therapeutic tabletop role-playing games. 
  2. Describe one (1) challenge mentioned by the therapists. How do they attempt to address this challenge in their practice?
  3. Even if you are not a therapist, are there any techniques mentioned in the roundtable that might help you implement transformative role-playing games more effectively? Be specific.
